The Professions Division at Bluefin Sponsor the Accountancy Age Awards 2009. On the evening of Wednesday 17 November representatives from the Professions Division at Bluefin attended the prestigious Accountancy Age Awards held in London’s Battersea Park Arena.
As sponsors of ‘Sole Practitioner of the Year’, Bluefin representatives for the evening were Mark Westgarth, Jon Wozniak, Julia Whittle, Kimberly Shortt, Jamie Fleming, Tracey Trent, Bhaven Mashru and Amy MacGrain alongside their guests Scott Ruff and Brian Kerrigan of Aviva.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner with almost 1,000 guests from across the profession. Mark Westgarth, Managing Director Professions, joined host Rory Bremner on stage to announce the winner of the newly introduced Sole Practitioner of the Year Award.
The shortlisted candidates were Khan & Co, Michael Dunkley, Solvers Accountants, and Woods Squared and the winner on the night was Michael Dunkley of Dunkley’s, a Bristol based company founded in 1991 with 32 staff and a turnover of £1.5m.
The judges commented that “the entry from Mike Dunkley of Dunkley’s stood out for its energy and his total commitment to both team members and clients. (Michael) is clearly a driven man and knows exactly what he wants and where he’s going”.
