Bluefin Professions donates £1,000 to local charity
We are pleased to report that we recently donated £1,000 to the Cots for Tots Appeal at St. Michael’s hospital, Bristol.
The Cots for Tots Appeal is the charity for the South West region’s Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol and raises funds to support the world-class work of the unit’s staff, saving the lives of the sickest, most premature babies from Bristol, Bath, the South West of England and South Wales, and to entirely fund the running costs of Cots for Tots House which provides free accommodation for parents.
Bluefin Professions employees raised the money by donating a pound a week for ‘dress down Fridays’.
Sarah Vipond, Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager at the Cots for Tots Appeal said, “We are absolutely thrilled that Bluefin Professions has chosen to support our Cots for Tots Appeal through raising money from their dress down days. It is such a simple yet effective way to raise much needed funds to help us provide life-saving equipment for the Unit and to help us to fund Cots for Tots House which provides free accommodation for families whose babies are being treated at St. Michael’s Hospital.”
Executive Director of Bluefin Professions, Paul Gillett said, “We are delighted to be able to support this charity and the incredibly important work that they do. During my visit to the Cots for Tots house it was clearly evident how valuable it is for parents to be able to stay a stone’s throw from their children. Cots for Tots house makes a huge difference at a time of great distress and anxiety.”
